Observation details
Recordings and photos to be attached. What a big surprise! Calls were most similar to type 6. The calls of the individual were heard from a distance away. Observed perched at the top of what looked like a Mulberry tree without leafs within the courtyard of the Rhodes-Garrett-Hamiel Hall. When I circled the building the individual was no where to be found. Until I heard a group of bluebirds and looked up and the individual was about 8 feet from the ground in another Mulberry tree. After posting this checklist I changed the subspecies from a type 2 to a type 6 following an indication from Timothy Spahr. This is a much rarer type than I had thought initially. I am glad I was able to obtain the necessary recordings.
