Observation details
Rough estimate. At least eight hundred Sanderlings were seen east of the road feeding along the margins of Chaplin Lake. However, much larger flocks were seen west of the road feeding along the edge of the lake with the largest concentration seen to the NW. This number was on the conservative side due to the distance that many of these birds were viewed at.
