Observation details
After noting on far end of lake we stood behind truck trailer out of wind with scopes to determine ID. Roundy head, facial feathers meeting at bill line with part slope then perpendicular edge (rather than angled throughout), and seemingly nice size fit for Tundra made for ID. Also lacked flat head and concaved large bill and Canvasback-like look of a Trumpeter Swan. Watched for about 5 minutes before it picked up and flew off north low over buildings. A first for the Big Day effort bringing total species count to 212 over the 20 years. I have participated the last 6 years.
