Observation details
Started off in the water then moved on to land. Something interesting is that the Brants seemed to be divided two groups (and they didn’t like each other). When they first moved to the point there was this big gap between them and every once in a while one would take a running squawk across the gap. I certainly observed a lot of fights today! Another interesting observation is how when the brants take off and land, they do so facing the wind. Because I was windward of them they always took off/landed facing me, even if they were going to their final destination was the opposite direction. The photo below show Adult, Immature, Adult, in comparison to the bird in question above.
