Media notes
Several additional songs of Minas Gerais Tyrannulet, possibly the same bird as in previous cut, but this was recorded half an hour later and we saw 2 birds; so not sure. They foraged and called from the canopy of tall emergent trees at an ecotone between riparian and more open palm savanna. Background includes: Gray-eyed Greenlet, Stripe-backed Antbird, a distant antshrike, a passing Planalto Hermit, and multiple insects. Recorded using a Fostex FR-2LE with a Sennheiser ME62 & Telinga Universal 22" parabola.
Observation details
We found and recorded two birds at our farthest birding stop--some 17+ kms from the entrance. They foraged and called from the canopy of tall emergent trees. A lifer for both REW and RAR.
