Observation details
Continuing bird. Young male and female hummingbird overwintering at private residence. Stocky hummingbirds with short somewhat straight bills, aqua/green upperparts, dingy green smudged belly/sides/undertail, pale feathers above eye, primary feathers mostly uniform in shape, wing projection fell just short of tail tip, rose/golden tones to female gorget, and rose/dark noted on male's throat and face. Dusky cheek patch. No rufous tones noted. Tail was not well studied, but appeared broad. Photo'd.
