I will never, ever forget the excitement of creeping around the bend in the creek and... THERE!! The Rail dashed off on tiptoes, flapping its wings frantically... but it didn't fly; it simply went around the bend. And there, by watching it from behind the grasses, I was able to have a fantastic time in the company of this truly curious little bird!! To this day (December 2020), I have never taken another photo of a Lewins...
