Observation details

3rd winter bird, clear views showing mantle intermediate grey between Herring and Lesser Black-backed. Slightly bulkier overall than comparable species. Head appeared more rounded and neck stockier. Head also showing entirely white without any trace of streaking. Bill yellow with large dark spot crossing on to both mandibles.
