Observation details
Heard first, thinking I might be hearing single dog barks in the distance. However, I soon found two large swans on the shore of the lake who were responsible for the intermittent calls. Photos taken after they dipped into the lake. Both were about the same size, although one had a thicker neck. Both had long, straight bills with surrounding black that encompassed part of the eyes, no yellow at the lores, more of a "v" where the forehead meets the bill (one was less obvious), more peaked head shapes, and both had evenly curved backs. No wing tags.
