Media notes
Calling frequently during observation by group (heard speaking). Location adjacent to highway thus lots of background noise. Rolled off below 100 Hz.
Observation details
First found by Rich Norgaard and Mark Stratton east of lawn bowling, then relocated east of dog run. Calling frequently though difficult to hear if far away. Smallish Myiarchus flycatcher with gray breast and pale yellow bellow. Brown head, moderately crested. Brown auriculars though paler in tone than crown. Gray underside of tail shows no rufous. Rufous-edged primaries and upper-side of tail. Some pale edges to wing coverts do not organize into clear wing bars. Calling with a drawn-out whistle, rising then falling. Call recorded.
