Observation details

Found by Bill Haskins earlier today. Prominent red "forehead", short bill, streaky sides, was eating seeds in the center area of the walk, mostly where the WhiteThroats and Song Sparrows were; it however was much smaller than those birds. I will attach a recording of its “nasal” call. I also heard a bunch together across the river, doing their group calling song. And Carolann Murphy reported one yesterday in another part of South Orange.
