Observation details
Great find by Jordan Hillsley earlier today, this is the first record for Centre county and central PA as a whole! Bird initially seen floating way out on the lake from the sunken road, it then picked up and came flying right by the crowd of birders and settled in the cut between the lake and Hunters Cove. Was able to get great looks as it swam around and slept and at a relatively close range. The bird flew into Hunters Cove and was out of sight for a little bit but it then came flying back out and rejoined the main gull flock on the lake. Last seen flying up lake towards the beach with some RBGUs, photos.
