Observation details
More photos and a video (with vocalizations) on our blog. The bird was clearly either a Yellow-bellied Flycatcher, or one of the two in the Western Flycatcher complex. The more rounded eyering and the extent of the dark patch below the wing coverts suggest YBFL over WEFL. The spectrograms of the calls also support YBFL; thanks to Nick Kachala for isolating the sound track from the video and creating the spectrograms. DNA was taken and this account will be updated if something surprising happens. https://braddockbaybirdobservatory.wordpress.com/2020/12/11/beware-the-empids-of-winter/
