Observation details
This bird was first sighted coming to flowers on October 24, 2020. The appearance of a longer bill, grayish crown and vigorous tail pumping indicated a possible Black-chinned Hummingbird. It was seen daily visiting flowers and became a regular visitor to a feeder on October 27, making it possible for captured for banding. It was captured, tagged and identified as a Black-chinned Hummingbird on October 31. See photos and documentation on the E-Bird post for that date. It was last seen on Monday, November 9.
