Observation details
Flicking wings was what I noted immediately, but it wasn't constant. It was slightly bigger than a Kinglet, its head being bigger, also. As is the habitat of a Hammond's, it was in dense overhead cover of eucalyptus trees and tall reeds along the shore of the reservoir. Also, the Hammond's likes chaparral, and chaparral is all around outside the strip of tall Eucalyptus trees surrounding the reservoir. Unfortunately I did not hear its call or song, as it was silent.
