Media notes
White-tipped Dove is faintly heard twice, once around 5 seconds and again around 22 seconds. Recording on phone unfortunately, call was very distinct at time, much more so than suggested here, and wasn't being mistook for the mosquito which is on the recording as well!
Observation details
Three birders in party, including Michael Todd (who has a recording of the dove's call and plans to upload once I share this list with him), Gray Burnvoll, and myself. Bird was heard but not seen. Bird produced characteristic coos similar to a person blowing into a bottle. Initially heard at about GPS coordinates: 29.360683,-99.9721951,245. It continued to coo as we approached until we were about an estimated 30 feet away, then it went silent. We continued to bird up the creek side and when we returned, about 20 minutes later, we heard it cooing from the other side of the creek.
