Media notes

This recording contains primarily the "Chip" Calls described in BNA account as being like the noise of a bicycle horn or the falsetto toot of a 17th century trumpet. Scattered thoughout are "Reedy Crise," some soundling much like the call of Aramus guarauna (e.g., 2:03, 2:34), but others are not so similar. (CAM - 25 February 2005).

Additional species

  • American Coot (Red-shielded) Fulica americana (Red-shielded)
