Observation details
Male female pair, first heard flying over then relocated on the north side of the small pasture on the east side of Warren Ferry Rd. After feeding there for some time they flew in considerably closer on the north side of the railroad tracks, then south towards the river where we followed them through the woods on the east side of the entrance road. Amazing views of them feeding on box elder at close range. Not too vocal until the end of the observation when the female took off and left the male behind, whereupon the male started calling constantly. *Upon review of photos it looks like the male has dingy edges to the white feathers on the folded wing patch, making it a first year bird.
