Observation details
Continuing bird discovered yesterday. Observed by many others. Large wren frequently disappears around large boulders and then reappear in another nearby location. It often sat on a rock where it bobs up and down. Occasionally flies short distances when it shows a broad tail. Seemed unstressed by close proximity to observers. Wren has overall buffy somewhat grayish appearance. Long dark beak, dark broad line extends from bill tru eye to ear Pale line above the eye. Wings are darker with some checkered light spots. The upper rump shows an orangish-brown warmth. Black legs. Photos
