Observation details
First found at about 10:35. I was sitting down listening and looking for SNBU when Chris DiPiazza came in and immediately started photographing something on the opposite side of the pier. That something turned out to be a PUSA, which had taken advantage of the very low tide to forage on the rocks that are usually covered by water. Started out slightly shy but became incredibly confiding as they tend to be, coming within three feet of me at times. Was still around when I finally tore myself away at 1:30. I wonder when it flew in... I was at the pier by 7:50 and it definitely wasn't around then, and a fair number of birders came by in between then and when it first was spotted. Hopefully it sticks around. Way too many photos!!
