Observation details
I'm adding all the photos I was able to take from my vehicle. When I tried to move for a better angle the little flock flew. This was on Rt 90 probably 3-5 miles past the pecan orchard going North in brush/grass in the fence line. Had not reached I-10 yet and probably not half way to Van Horn. Was offline so messed up the location. I think this is a Lawrence's Goldfinch after consulting references like Sibley. Please give me feedback as I have no one to consult about this, and I have not seen this species before. I knew it was neither a Lesser nor American Goldfinch, but thought it must be in that family.
