Observation details
There were two female redpolls in different parts of the trails, one was distinctly lighter than the other - and very photogenic. The pushed-in bill, smaller red crown, overall whiter appearance, limited streaking, and unmarked undertail all lead me to think this may be a Hoary. UPDATE: in addition to two of our local eBird Reviewers, the bird was also reviewed by Matt Young and Jon Ruddy who both conclusively say it is a Hoary of the southern subspecies.
