Media notes

A long recording of various song and call types, given mostly while the bird was perched on a short white spruce amid the willows, but also from various perches in the willows. The first cut is natural song, while the remainder is in response to playback. Seet calls in the last cut were very quiet and given at close range. No complete long songs heard unfortunately, but several partial long songs recorded at various times.

Observation details

Adult, presumed male, on territory in stunted willows above treeline. Extensively photographed and recorded.
