Cropped digiscope image, slight bump of contrast.
Observation details
Seen well through scope, remarkably poor digiscope images taken. Bigger than nearby EAGR, stockier build and neck than WEGR it was associating with. Thick yellowish bill. Pale throat. Loonish gestalt. Dark crown. Reddish hues in neck I think, but can’t be sure at such a distance (still certainly far less than summer plumage). Bigger size and less contrast in face than HOGR, also bill far too large/pale. Diving frequently. Super far out across lake.
