Observation details
Perching, preening, feeding on the flowers of the Showy Banksia (Banksia speciosa) in the Woody Lake Nature Reserve near Esperance In Western Australia. Red Wattlebirds (Anthochaera carunculata) are common in south-western Australia. Several Red Wattlebirds were feeding on the flowers of the Showy Banksia (Banksia speciosa) in the Woody Lake Nature Reserve near Esperance In Western Australia, and perching on a dead Banksia . Also feeding on the large Banksia flowers were Western Wattlebirds, New Holland Honeyeaters and Silvereyes.
