Observation details

****rare. Female on W side of main lake, first at (36.1873600, -104.8091660) but quickly worked east. Female goldeneye with relatively short and stout orange-yellow bill (not perfect length, but shorter than COGO, with orangey tone more or less ruling out aberrant COGO), steep forehead, and longer “mane” than a female COGO.
