Observation details
Adult. Observed through spotting scope in middle of Reservoir. Small loon resting with Ring-billed gulls. Similar in size to RBGU. Smaller than nearby Double-crested Cormorants. Front and sides of neck bright white. White on sides of head to top of eyes. Bill smaller than Common Loon and slightly upturned. Dark cap on top of head with thin dark line down back of neck. Dark back with white showing above waterline occasionally. Poor distant photos attached.
