Observation details
Amazing MALE! A private resident notified Robin and myself about “a odd looking duck on the lake in front of their house.” Robin, John, Carol and I enjoyed watching the Drake steal food from the icy dock that was brought up to the surface by the male canvasback and the greater scaup. This is a first Seward record that I know of. The bear lake launch launch is frozen you will need a scope or hike along the back trail to view the bird.
