Observation details
Seen in sports complex between Brookhurst and the golf course to the east. One bird was seen by Don Hoechlin this morning in the area between ballfields 4 and 5 in the sports complex. This is the area where the Pine Warbler was seen a few winters ago. It flew off just before I got to the area, but it came back about 45 minutes later to ballfield 4 grassy area close to the south end. It flew between 4 and 5 a couple of times and then flew to the east fence of field 1 before flying off west. The bird was calling off and on. Later I saw it again in field 1. There may have been a second one, but it flew before I could be sure. Female with grayish (with some brown tones) on chest - color continues down flanks; thin, dark bill; white undertail coverts; pale blue on upper tail coverts, tail and wings.
