Media notes
Indian Thick-knee, as seen in our park. By the time I got the camera, only one individual from the pair remained. However, I was able to click a single picture, and it was clear. Perhaps inspecting a location to build a nest.
Observation details
Initially identified as the yellow-wattled lapwing, the birds was identified with a record shot from the mobile phone. I rushed back and brought the camera and was able to click a single but perfect picture. They were identified because of their large and quirky eye, which was prominently seen from afar. The birds were seen only on that day, and after that, they was never recorded in the park again. Since we had not visited the area for weeks due to lockdown, we were not able to see it before that, in case it was a nesting site. However, judging by their cautiousness, it could very well be a probable nest site. The pair was seen just next to a green iron bench, next to a big bush of Heenz and another bush of bougainvillea.
