Observation details
Irruption year. Seen frequently in the county this year. First time seeing at my feeders. While filling my tube feeder, I looked over the platform I’d just filled and saw a siskin sitting in the sunflower. I took a very close phone pic before going to the house for my camera and better photos. Birds stayed throughout the day. The last time I had them here they were an early November flyover first heard then seen while I was on my roof cleaning out my gutters. Small, darkly streaked, goldfinch sized birds with slender, pointed bills and varying degrees of yellow in the wings.
