Observation details
This was more than a fun one! While photographing this amazing rarity, it flew from across the channel to right in front of me. This bird had no fear of people. Probably because of the extreme tundra it likely came from. While taken photos a Prairie Falcon buzzed threw at no more than a few feet. All but the Sharp-tailed scattered as the falcon missed. The Sharp-tailed hunkered down in a muddy depression and all but disappeared right in front of me. I'm glad the falcon didn't scare it off.
