Observation details
Continuing bird, found again this morning by Bill Eisele around 07:25h. Viewed well and extensively by 8 observers. Very pale, washed out "solitary" complex vireo with limited yellow on sides, smudgy contrast on auriculars, and gradual contrast between head and mantle. Nearby BHVI provided a direct point of comparison- this bird was *significantly* paler and more washed out. Responded aggressively to CAVI scold call. First found along sunny edge/fenceline at 30.6848494, -96.3635164 before moving into trees and down to same location we found it at late yesterday afternoon. Additional photos by BE and CJ. Audio recordings of scold call are by Meredith Anderson. Scold call was noted in the field to be slower and a bit higher pitched than a normal BHVI scold.
