Observation details
Female, found earlier by Cullen Hanks and Ash Ferlito, around 42.4366431, -76.3949051. Big yellow-green Piranga with faint rusty tones, a large pale horn-colored bill, greenish wing coverts with weakly yellow edges, slight crest. Distinctive “spit-tuck” call. Bill large, but not massive, which combined with faint reddish tones suggests expected nominate eastern subspecies. Photos.
