Observation details
Small sparrow with plain buffy toned face, orange patch above eye and complete white eye ring. Pattern with rufous spots on back. No streaking to belly. Unexpectedly popped out of brush and on top of a picnic table in the visitors center parking lot. Got good looks and then it flew back in the brush and I couldn’t re-find.
