NOTES: (Bkground Sounds: waterfall down hill. Cover Density: Thick. Bias: II.) Response to playback of recording by van den Berg. Was not singing before we played the van den Berg cut. First part misssed the initial minute of [sic] so of response whilel we changed tapes. Second part (after pause): the bird went down the hill,, possibly joining a mixed flock, and started singing again two or three minutes after end of first part. An individual, presumably the same one, was recorded at the same location that afternoon and collected by J.P. O'Neill. Response to playback: Approach.
