Observation details
White-headed Lapwings (Vanellus albiceps) are uncommon to rare residents of tropical and sub-tropical Africa and are usually found near large rivers. This adult was on the water’s edge of Sunset Dam after rain in the southern section of Kruger National Park. It was one of a pair that had fledged one chick. Video.
