Observation details
4 birds seen together, we had a very good look for about 30mins, birds were very cooperative, there was on the we are able to sex as a male because of the red color, the rest could be immature males or females. The key Field mark to separate from the most common species Hepatic Tanager was, since the birds were very close about 15 ft away, was the size and the obvious Crossbill hence the name.
