Observation details
In a tree as I was leaving at 625p, on the west side of Ballfield 3, just NE of the stairs down into that part of the parking lot and quite near where YGVI has been seen. Stood out for its size and dominant rufous tones on outerparts (unable to get a photo of the back). Broad, black crown stripes extending down into supraloral area, tapering in width towards nape. Hard to see in the photo but bill was more pink-toned than orange. Wider nape clean gray, throat paler tone. Was with an immature-type, silent. Flushed by appearance of immature Red-Shouldered Hawk, dove into the scrub on the downslope. Photos hampered by lack of sunlight and sky cover.
