Observation details
Continuing bird found two days ago by Dan Sgro. Upon arrival, Tony Briggs and Renee Cormier were looking at the bird which was calling repeatedly. Same call we heard last night. Myiarchus flycatcher with large dark bill with pink on lower mandible base. The extensive pink evidently makes this a juvenile. Olive back. Bright yellow breast (especially after the bird, which was wet early in am, dried out). Yellow extended almost to throat. Wing coverts and tail bright rufous. White tipped tertials. Flycatcher repeatedly in poison oak and other shrubs, from dead poison hemlock, and on dead lichen-covered pine. A huge show enjoyed by many.
