Observation details
A young bird flying around a clearing near the parking lot, perching in snags, alternatively chasing and getting chased by Blue Jays. Interestingly, it was vocalizing--a tinny set of squeaks that is almost reminiscent of a kestrel, and totally unlike a Cooper's Hawk. First time I've ever heard this species!
