Observation details
Smaller than the Ring-billed Gulls it was harassing. In flight, could be seen to have 3 or 4 white primary shafts in each wing. lower belly white with barring under tail. No extended central rectrices noticed in flight. Head, nape and breast all warm brown, with nape lighter and some streaking visible in the hindneck. Thin bill with limited black tip. Photos and video taken (but at distance; bird was at least 200m offshore.
