Observation details
Eastern Reef Egrets (Egretta sacra), also known as Pacific Reef-Herons, are found mainly on rocky coasts throughout Southeast Asia, Melanesia, New Zealand and the Pacific. Eastern Reef Egrets have white and dark morphs, with the white morph more common in tropical Australia. This white morph adult was hunting on rocks adjacent to the boat launching ramp at Tantabiddi nn North West Cape, Western Australia.
