Media notes

high-pitched calls from a bird in response to playback of the 'tuck' call from Saltmarsh Sparrow. While calling the bird was mostly moving through the sedges in a mouse-like fashion, occasionally perching up on a clump of sedge to call before moving on. Pishing a few times also brought the bird up briefly. Habitat was an open sedge meadow with calf-high water, on the edge of a small lake.

Observation details

Found in the same wet sedge meadow as the LeConte's; photographed and recorded.
