Observation details
First record for Muskoka! Large shorebird with long, slightly upturned bill, black tail, white rump, narrow white wingstripe on upper and underwings, black underwing coverts, white supercilium. First heard high pitched call then saw bird come in from east and circle cell 2 once. It attempted to land at south end of cell 2, but ducks disturbed it. It flew over to cell 3, turned, then came back to cell 2. Managed to capture it on video as it made one circle around the cell. It then headed southwest, gaining elevation. After about 30 seconds of flight it looked like it was descending, so we checked Henry Marsh, but couldn't refind it. Video stills attached.
