response to playback. Alternate song, one primary song, and lots of calls given from a bird that was mostly perched on or near the ground in rolling sandsage and yucca covered shortgrass prairie. Some of the calls were given in flight, but none of the songs were. Note especially the series of lower-pitched harsh calls at 0:41.
