Observation details
Same individual that I saw yesterday (https://ebird.org/checklist/S73728635), but much longer observation period under better conditions. Appeared larger than Caspian Tern and Parasitic Jaeger when it chased these species (see photos). Symmetrical molt of inner primaries, which is much more likely for Pomarine than Parasitic at this time and location (see comments in linked checklist). Tail appeared to be broad and squared off at end, missing central rects. When it passed close to West Point, the large bill was apparent, though this doesn't show well in photos, perhaps due to the light conditions. When sitting on the water, size wasn't always apparent even when a Parasitic was nearby, but the primaries extended beyond the tail. In contrast, the tail extended beyond the wing tips on all the Parasitics. While this is not a field mark for the species, it does seem to be a good way to pick out this individual from the other jaegers right now.
