Observation details
This bird was in the dry brush at the start of the trail down to the gulch. It was acting more like a sparrow than a flycatcher, flying low, staying in the brush. It perched briefly on a low shrub. Got one great view and managed to get one photo. Prominent eye ring, two whitish wing bars, very long tail, short primary projection, overall gray in color, dark upper mandible and slightly orange lower mandible. No tail dipping in the brief period I saw it. No vocalizations.
