Media notes
Song during wing-quivering display; other species faintly audible at the beginning. Pardon the barking dog and my stepping on a twig. Recorded at 12:54 PM. Audio stripped from full video file for upload to eBird (does not accept video at time of submission).
Observation details
Performing odd wing-vibrating display for about two minutes in branches of tree above sunflower seed feeder. Likely another nearby (why display if there's no mate?), but I didn't see it at the time. However, one bird had an entirely clean body, while a second seen later had dirty-looking streaks on left thigh/flank. It's too early for hatchlings and dirty nests, isn't it? Could it have been oiled?
