Observation details
Huge juvenile female dispatching a juvenile Wood Pigeon in road at top of access track. Watched and photographed down to 4 m for about 20 minutes as it wrestled with the pigeon in the road then dragged it off to one side. Luckily there was no traffic and bird wasn't too concerned by me in the car and I was able to roll skowly down the slope and stop alongside the bird, and photograph it through the passenger side window. It continued to eat the pigeon throughout. Eventually disturbed by a couple of walkers but probably would return. By this time the pigeon had stopped moving and had probably expired. Too close to get the entire bird in the image
